Thesis Research
My thesis topic is to utilize the remote sensing technique to monitor the water quality (Secchi Disk depth and chlorophyll-a) change
of Lake Simcoe from 1987 to 2008. The band ratio and NASA official algorithms are applied and then the in situ observed data to
calibrate them. The trend of both the SDD and Chlorophyll-a change will be shown and the driving factors of this kind of change will
be analyzed. This study will contribute great significance to the whole environmental management of Lake Simcoe.
