Research Interests:
As an environmental planner my research efforts are directed mainly at
enhancing environments while minimizing the adverse effects of
development. Together with my graduate students we cover a
spectrum of studies which extend from discovering answers to scientific
and technical questions to encouraging people in residential,
industrial, commercial and institutional sectors to protect and
conserve resources that are inherent in waste by-products. Many
of our efforts are directed towards the development and evaluation of
policies and procedures with a focus on wastes. We have also been
involved in the cleanup of contaminated areas as well as looking at
ways to prevent contamination and the destruction of ecosystems.
