The Planning Graduation and Ring Ceremony is an important tradition in the School as we give our graduands a memorable farewell and the opportunity to gather once more with the wonderful people of School - classmates, staff and faculty. An invitation is extended in early spring to all upcoming graduands.
The School of Planning is proud to offer its students a School Ring! The ring was originally designed by three students in the first graduating class in 1969.
The ring is available to all graduating undergraduate and graduate students in sterling silver or latinum and is to be worn on the small finger.
A description of the symbols on the ring are:
The Planning ring is presented at the School's Ring Ceremony which is held the same day as Spring Convocation. If you are about to graduate and are interested in a School Ring, please contact the UW Shop (SCH 109) at Retail Services to arrange for a fitting, in your final term during the last week of class.
