INDEV 10 is a weekly non-credit seminar reserved for INDEV students. Each session will feature a guest speaker or an INDEV Field Placement Information Session. Each event unless otherwise noted is held on Fridays in MacKirdy Hall, St. Paul's University College from 12 to 12:50 PM. Bring your lunch!

November 18 - Fermin Flores, Executive Director, Lanao Aquatic and Marine Fisheries Center for Community Development, PHILIPPINES
Fermin Flores will talk about his work with community-based resource management and peace-building in the Philippines.
LAFCCOD assists fishing communities dependent upon coastal and marine ecosystems and promotes mutual respect and understanding amongst Muslim, Christian and Indigenous peoples.

November 11, 2011 - Umair Muhammad, “Development: Big and Small Pictures”
Umair Muhammad is a fourth year environmental engineering student at the University of Waterloo. He spent last summer in northern Ghana as a volunteer with Engineers Without Borders, working alongside a non-profit organization called Agribusiness Systems International to help farmers adopt good post-harvest handling practices and storage infrastructure.
