Research Areas:
My research is interdisciplinary and uses social and philosophical methods to critically examine questions related to the conservation of biodiversity. It draws upon disciplines such as conservation biology, environmental ethics, invasion biology, ecolinguistics (language and environment), environmental sociology, philosophy and sociology of science, public understanding of science, science communication, and science studies. My current research falls within the following two main topic areas:
I. Social dimensions of biodiversity conservation: assisted colonization, invasion biology, pollination ecology
II. Metaphor, environmental science and society
